Doey Rock Aka Mean Doe Green

In 1997, when I first ran across Doey Rock, he was demolishing another artist in a freestyle battle. The opposing artist later went on to sign with No limit Records. Back then, Doey Rock was a relatively uncelebrated figure; an unfamiliar face to those not in his circle. Since then his audience has grown and his repertoire of descriptive lyrics has expanded.

Doey Rock’s music is a genuine expression of his struggle for survival and life in the streets. The best way to describe his music using other artist’s styles is compare it to a cross between Rakim and Ice Cube. Doey Rock’s mix of playful role-playing and powerful flow is what sets him apart from the competitors. These same skills along with Doey Rock’s versatility enable him to perform with proven Rap industry veterans such as; Raekwon the Chef, Daz of the Dogg Pound, Soopafly, Carlos ‘Six July’ Broady, KRS-One, The Roots, Nas and Xzibit.

More focused then ever due to the rap industries’ trials and tribulations, Doey Rock created the independent record label called iNDUSTRiAL FAM ENT. The “i” is always lower case symbolizing that there is no “i” in team. The iNDUSTRiAL part of the name comes from having a work first mentality while building from the ground up. Doey Rock’s workaholic mentality has kept him on top of his game while releasing “Soul On Fire” (2005), the “916 Unified” Compilation (Sick Wid It Records), as well as, several mix tapes. With his recent success, Doey Rock is looking at spreading his “Dig Life” attitude across the globe. After an unforgettable taste of his flow, you too will jump on the MONTANA EXPRESS!
